"Spore" Help, Please! Troubleshooting

Just installed "Spore" on my laptop last night. Was prompted to verify online, luckily I was at a friend's house and hooked up to a manual modem via cable. Today, Spore won't open. Always says "Spore has encountered a problem and needs to close." So I uninstalled it. I'm re-installing it now. Probably a bad move, since I have no damn modem to hook up to....
What should I do?

I'm not half sure there, i'v had spore on my pc for a while now i haven't had any problems.but i know what you mean about installing it with the limit it has.
apart from looking it up im not sure.

Actually, it's okay now. Hehe

I re-installed it and it's all good. not only that, but I'm further than before.

It's alright now, actually. I re-installed it without all that EA Download Manager crap and no internet and it's running smoothly.
I'm also further than I was previously, haha.
