Spore has been working just fine up to the Space stage. Now, my computer reboots at random intervals of what feel like 20-30 minutes with a message stating "The system has recovered from a serious error". I asked a friend of mine and he said that I need a driver update, my computer is too old for the game. I know my video card is old and just barely meets the requirements for Spore, that could be the problem.
Any other reasons? I'm pretty sure it's just the game acting up with my old computer. It's a Dell Inspiron laptop, 3 or 4 years old.
HERE'S MY GOOD NEWS
Assassin's Creed 2 comes out this year, like I hoped.
I'm very excited. This game takes place in one of my favorite world-locations.
For all you girls that play this game, there's good news. The new protagonist Enizo is just as handsome as Altair. I wonder if there will be more Animus conspiracy, or is there a new story behind this? Mmmm, whatever it is I look forward to this delicious new game.
A teaser trailer so that I may visually demonstrate how awesome it looks.

☢ Stupid people are like Slinkys; they aren't good for anything, but you can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
so... i bought a brand new card.
and it still didnt work. turns out its conflicting with the Driver.
have you tried changing the power settings of the laptop so it doesnt save power, Sometimes you find the laptop can be hindered by power restrictions.
But i'm not too sure apart from that...
and inorite i totally want to get that game man xwx
I should try getting a new card anyhow, but like ask a Best Buy employee about compatibility with my old hardware.
Just as a heads-up, how much on average would a new video card cost?

i can definitely defrag in a short amount of time, i recently uninstalled and deleted anything i didn't use. Since I installed the Windows system myself, it's really bare-minimums.
I have no virus scan, since I have no internet. I would gladly get a good program for it, like Norton or something, but they're so damned expensive! Like... 80 bucks... ;_;

and you'd have to install it via a company or tech expert because the chipset is an integral part of the mother board
but if you're feeling abit techy

Eeeesh, the hardware itself shouldn't be too expensive but having somebody do it would probably be a real gash in my budget.
